I just came back from a spring break trip, and the day after I came back home I caught a fever. My temperature was really high, and non-stop I was administered medicine every few hours. My temperature has gone down, but every now and then I feel really hot all of a sudden…I have a terrible sore throat right now, which I have constantly tried to calm down with mouthwash and salt water. My main problem, however, is that the place that I vacationed at and where I live have a VERY huge time difference between them. It’s 10:54 PM where I reside right now, where my bedtime is nearing, while Hong Kong time is 12:54 PM, as in the afternoon just begun.
I’m feeling so sleepy during the day and so awake at night. And because of my fever, I’ve been forced to sleep during the day so I can recover, leaving no time for my body to adjust.
I’d like to know how to deal with fevers, sore throats, what kinds of medicines you use, and how to beat this impossible jet lag.
Thanks
I’m feeling especially anxious about this because I’m going to school tomorrow, even with my sickness. I’m more afraid of being tired and irritable all day instead of being sick…although that sucks just as much.

I am normally fine, can always eat and snack well, but i have just come back from Las Vegas 2 days ago (8 hour time difference) and since then i have experienced:
Hunger although i have no appetite what so ever i feel a bit sick when trying to eat
Genrally feel sick
Tiredness
A bit of anxiety (i think this may be due to the tiredness and i am feeling a bit down about feeling ill)
This is my 4th time in Las Vegas and it has effected me everytime but normally i just feel a little after holiday depression.
Does anyone else get these symptoms due to Jet Lag?
I also get a bit light headed

I live in NY & have been dieting , but I flew to China [13 hours time difference] and I’m staying here for a week. My sleeping/eating pattern has been switched due to the time difference. I’m going back to NY next week, how does this affect my metabolism ? Is it bad?

I was living in asia for the last year and on sunday moved back to canada. There was a 12 hour time difference from where I was so I’ve been suffering from jet lag. One of my issues is with constipation, I have not went since last saturday and it’s friday now. I decided this morning to take exlax because eating salads and dairy products (which usually gives me the runs) has not worked. The ex lax is causing some serious cramping but it’s not working. I took another pill a few minutes ago since it’s been 12 hours and nothings happened but if that doesn’t work, what do you suggest I try?
I have taken exlax before and it’s worked fine so I know it usually works, but it isn’t this time. I don’t know if it’s because I’m severely constipated after a week or what haha, but my stomach hurts really bad now and I’m getting annoyed lol.
Although with much blood and strain, I got a little bit (I know, a lot of information you probably don’t want to know.)
But if I don’t get rid of most of it by tomorrow morning, I am getting myself an enema. haha

It seems weird to me. Maybe someone can enlighten me. Ever since I was 15 or 16, I’ve just slept better or more during daylight hours. I haven’t traveled to a places that more than four hours time difference. So I don’t know what to think anymore.
If you have any ideas what’s going on or if you have tips on how to fall asleep, I’m all ears!
Well, here’s the thing. I already do that… lol

I just came back from the Philippines on Monday, and I am still pooped out!
After my arrival, I wake up at 2:00am and sleep during the day.
How long do you think my jet lag will be gonnneeee.
Btw, I live in USA, BIG TIME DIFFERENCE >.<
Right now it’s near night time there, and at class near 2:00pm, I start to doze off to sleep; which means my algebra teacher notices…

I’m traveling from Belgium to Virginia to visit family (we live overseas because my husband is in the military). It’s a 6 hour time difference and we’ll be there for 10 days. Jet lag usually hits me pretty hard and it takes me a week or more to adjust. Anyone care to share some tips on beating it?

My cat Jake owns me asked: I live in Germany, and was in the US for 3 weeks with a 6 and 7 hour time difference while in Chicago and then Washington, DC.
I can not sleep since getting home for more than 3 hours during the night, and I have such a busy rest of the week. I do not want to take sleeping pills, but need another way to cope with the lack of sleep.
