Where can i find sleep apnea products?

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea 12 years ago. I had the uvulaplasty surgery twice and have recently noticed that it’s still getting worse. I don’t have health insurance now and I was wondering if there was anywhere out there to get a C-PAP machine at a discounted rate. Does anyone know of anything?

I have sleep apnea which is well controlled through the use of a CPAP machine, but I was turned down for health insurance by Blue Cross Blue Shield because of it. I recently left a job through which I had health insurance and am now self employed and need to find an individual policy for myself.

I have no insurance at the moment so I can’t contact a doctor but for a while at nite when I’m lying down I get this annoying tingling at the tops of my feet, especially the left one, and sometimes one of my feet will twitch a couple times out of nowhere. I have a hell of a time falling asleep because of it. my legs don’t really bother me just the feet. what do you think? thanks!

the ones to keep you awake… as in antipsychotics, narcotics etc… trying to locate what would be covered under our insurance because my husband’s prescription is not and I can’t figure out what category to look under.

I’ve been suffering from RLS for years but over the last year it has gone beyond severe. I am taking Requip and have had know luck. I have to take Morphine for the pain it is so severe. I need an inexpensive way to treat this due to insurance only covering selected drugs.

What is the cost of narcolepsy medication?

I’ve been interested in the cost of narcolepsy medication, and just treatment of narcolepsy in general. I’m pretty clueless as to how someone could get medication for the condition. Is it purely prescription based? How much are prescriptions costing you? Do free-clinics give out prescriptions or do you have to pay for medical insurance to go see a doctor for diagnosis and prescription? Are there any over-the-counter drugs available for narcolepsy?

I’m interested because I’m doing a study for a short documentary on narcolepsy.

I have to find a doctor that accepts my insurance (Humana HMO) and will help me with my anxiety and insomnia. I tried going to the website and picking a doctor at random, and he was horrible, he didn’t help at all. I don’t have time to go doctor shopping, but my symptoms are getting out of control.

My fiance has sleep apnea and needs a sleep test done so that he can get the machine to help make it better. He has no insurance as he is out of work. We have been trying to find free sleep tests in Ohio but have had no luck.

Sleep Apnea?

Trixie asked:

My husband I believe has sleep apnea. He wakes throughout the night coughing and struggleing for air. This scares the crap out of us both. To be honest with you we don’t have insurance so he refuses to go to a doctor. I have been pushing him to go see a doctor only to end up in an arguement. I’ve made up my mind that I’m just gonna schedule an appointment and make him go. But I wonder if anything sets sleep apnea off. Because he don’t do this every night. And when he is struggleing for air is there anything I can do to help other than panic? Anyone with any information would greatly appreciated!
