I would guess to say it depends upons ones body’s physiological response to the apnea period. The Blood pressure and heart rate goes up and of course there is the tiredness and sleep deprivation that follows. All in all it would depend upon which other risk faCTORS THAT ONE MAY HAVE, OBESITY, MEDICAL PROBLEMS ETC.
Without treatment the condition may lead to other health issues such as heart disease. With treatment the prognosis is very good.
