his machine broke, and all the company and insurance companys tell him is that he has to get 2 referals, and it would be some time before he can get a new sleep apnea machine (or to repair it).is there an easy way to pass all this red tape?

sometimes you can rent them from oxygen co? ask the ENT about this,
Unfortunately this happened to me. I wish I would have a backup. I knew some one that was not using there. I was ready to admit myself to the hospital. Rentals from DME are possible especially for the one that you got it from initially. CPAP can be bought online and overnighted. They are relatively inexpensive 200-600. TRy craigslist.
My bipap logged 22500 hours when it died after 7 years of faithful service. I am going to buy a second machine later this year because I am not going through what I did. I use bipap. At the last study they said I could go to cpap. I machine I borrowed was a cpap. I used it for 10 days while researching what to do. So I had some form of treatment but I felt like “s–t. I had my symptoms back, fatigue, distracted, etc.
Call you MD, maybe you will have better luck than I did. Call your tv station?
Best wishes
