This is a rather annoying ailment at times. When I forget to take mag my leg shakes and drives me insane at night. I also have a Zen chi machine which helps. Anyone have some cures that have worked???

I have the same problem but when it starts in, I lay flat on my back and raise both legs straight up towards the ceiling. I hold them up for a couple of minutes and that seems to interupt the twitching.
I had the same problem, for YEARS, then I stopped drinking sodas, and it went away!
I’m serious. I haven’t had it once in the 2 years since I stopped drinking soft drinks. I think it’s one of the chemicals they use. I think the magnesium “might” counteract the chemical a bit sometimes, but I’m sure that’s not the problem, because I used to take those for it too, with not predictable results.
i have rls and the doctor put me on mirapex 2 months ago i dont take it every night like i am supposed to but i try even when i dont take it my rls doesnt act up! i finally get a full night sleep with NO side effects!
Magnesium – for whatever reason – works for a few people. In clinical studies, however, it has not been effective at all. So, be thankful it helps you.
There are a gazillion things to try. Problem is that none of them, even the drugs, work for everyone. There are probably hundreds of things people have tried that are listed in the RLS Foundation’s message board in the non-pharma and pharma sections. It’s a bit of work, but reading through those posts may help you find other options.
