		<description>1. stay hydrated. the flight can easily dehydrate you (and somehow that makes the jet lag worse), so drink an appropriate amount of water both the week before the flight and also during the flight.  as hard as it is, resist sodas, coffee, and alcohol!
2. get up, stretch, and walk around during the flight.
3. when you arrive, get out into the daylight and do some light exercise.

(my husband and I travel back and forth between the USA and China.  it usually takes us about a week to fully recover. but if we pushed ourselves - for example, staying up later at night instead of dropping into bed at 4:00 in the afternoon - we could probably reduce that to 2 days or so.)</description>

		<description>Hi, last summer I flew about 10 hours to Germany from Boston, and then about 9 hours from London back to Boston.  I was extremely jet lagged, and discovered after flying to Germany the best thing to do is SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP on the plane.  It helps, and then once you&#039;re in your location go to bed early and try to lay off caffeine after noon.  I&#039;m 14 and travelled when I was 13, I was NOT immune to jet lag, and my younger sister (5 years) was probably even more tired than anyone due to jet lag.</description>
