Hello..I feel for your Mom..I’ve been on almost every sleeping pill and nothing worked. She might want to try " Alteril " .You can buy it at Walmart it is a all natural sleep aid.It really helped me.Good Luck to your Mom.
The price of Alteril is about 15 dollars and it has 60 tablets in it.
Try to go to a sensory clinic where they can put her in this tank filled with water and she will sleep. it could be costly tho.
Use horse tranquilizers. It is the only thing strong enough to suppress your mother. Use the force. The force of tranquilizers.
If she drinks a lot of alcohol…then that is prolly the number one reason why she doesn’t sleep. Otherwise, it could be too much cola or coffee or tea….these are very high in caffeine, so they give you problems when you are trying to sleep. Another reason could just be worry….that would keep anyone up!
When I had insomnia, I was prescribed sleeping pills for a week as they wouldn’t give them to me for too long in case I became dependent. The best thing that I ever did for my sleep was have a routine. About an hour before I wanted to sleep I would go to my room, and put a CD on that I bought which was to help you relax. It was a way of tensing and relaxing all your muscles before sleep. And then the other half of the CD was the sound of waves. At one point, I had listened to a Korn CD so much at night, that now when I listen to it, it makes me sleepy.
So, make sure that her room is somewhere that is ONLY used for sleep. Keep it clutter free, and only go in there for sleep. If there is anything on her mind tell her to write it down before bed. Have her have a bath before bed. Just find some kind of routine, so that she links a specific thing to sleep. Even if she can’t fall asleep, just keep in the same routine. Even just a glass of hot milk before bed can be enough of a routine! Good luck
Sorry to hear about your Mom and that nothing seems to work.
Since she has tried medication without success I suggest that she try hypnosis. Hypnosis has helped a lot of people overcome insomnia. Our brain acts strange sometimes and especially what is going on in our subconscious mind. If there is a message there telling your mother she can’t sleep, well then she can’t sleep.
Your Mom could discuss this option with her doctor and maybe he can suggest a therapist she can consult.
Best wishes to you and your Mom
