If you don’t hit REM be prepared for hallucinations after a few days, and insanity after a few more. I’m pretty damn sure you hit rem.
i saw the doctor he doesnt prescribe anything just smiles and says im too young for sleeping pills, arggggggh i get like 5 hrs if im lucky tonight ill get bloody 4 and have to do an exam in the morning at 830
same thing here.
Nothing strange about that really. If you btw try, while you are seeing your dreams, while being awake, talk like you were really talking to a live listener or a recorder, you could increase brainnerver connections to your awarness with your deeper faculties. But talking in a deep stat of relaxation could easily interrupt dreaming. But keep just describing what you saw, as your seeing it, could trigger images again. Just dont describe them with resemblences. I tired doing this, but it was wicked
Dude….thanks for the info.
Thats weird, he said your muscles are paralised during dreaming. I can just stop dreaming, and move and then resume my dream, but this is usually after i wake up, and im sort of daydreaming. Also i can control my dreams, im kinda weird, and awsum at the same time.
haha it’s ok.
Now 5-6 is much better for you. I know not everyone get’s 8 hrs and usually at least 6 hrs will help a lot. Good to hear.
thanks. I think i may have found a new way to combat my college stress. now i’ve actually improved my average sleeping time from 3 hrs to 5-6 hrs a night.
I was just kidding about the shrink part, by the way.
3 hrs is bad bad. I really do hope you are getting help with that. I’ve always had sleeping issues myself.
Shrink’s help, could be stress. Good luck.
yeah, or maybe a shrink?
i should go visit my psych teacher from last semester. she could probably give me some good advice.
so. You’ve measured your heart rate during sleep? If you sleep ccontinuesly for 3 hours you -do- enter REM sleep. What you say is simply false. But if you only sleep three hours a night you definitly should see a doctor.
I dont think I have any of the common sleep disorders mentioned but for some reason I can only go up to stage 3 delta of n/REM sleep and always wake up after getting atleast 3 hrs (on most nights). my heart rate seems to never slow and i dont experience any of the disorientation part.
I need to know if thats good or bad!?
ahh so this is why I feel like I’m falling and then I have one massive twitch..always wondered what the hell was going on.
Heart Rate slows… that happens to me.. or like.. My heart “falls down” and I’m waking up fast lol.
When you take a nap you would probably be in the 1st 2 stages of NREM or w/e so it probably wouldn’t help…
I diffenitely need to see a doctor… I think i got insomnia… ^__^
now, what happens when you nap? why is it helpful to nap for brief moments?
makes me want to go to sleep.
i remember about 2 or a year ago wen i was sleeping i was dreaming about something and then my breathing became different almost at a stage were your about to stop breathing and then i was trying to wake myself up but i didnt move and then i must of counted in my sleep and then my hole body golted and i woke up (like you know wen u get scared and it kinda takes your breath away)the funny thing is wen i woke up i dnt find anything on my face which was scary werid huh…
I used to have nightmares where I was falling.
I was afraid of heights though.
