I have had sleeping issues through the ages of 14 and (currently) 34. I have spells of insomnia twice a year, lasting from 2 to 6 weeks each, and varing in intensity. I have noticed a coraspondnce with the change of the seasons. Either as winter is on the verge of turning into spring of summer into fall. I belive when I have an intense spell of insomnia it is compounded with a life style change. Leaving the familure. It is – in an odd way – comforting to see others having severe insomnia issus.

I have never been able to sleep at night..only in the day.This has created a whle lifestyle of being a night person.I am in the arts so i used to write ,paint,etc., but now I just putz around and think about how lost my days are.I’m a mom too so it hurts that I’mlike a marathon zombie with my daughter at some part of our days…I’ve tried everthing…I mean everthing….My oldest friend said I’m a night person and just accept it…so here i am….
wow, i am glad to see that someone else out there has the same seasonal insomnia! i am also like Toeln2194, in the fact that i sleep better during the day, rather than at night. on top of all that, i have the racing mind thing going on where i just lay there for hours thinking. even when i try not to. just went through a 2wk sleepless session, and ended up not eating which lead to an unintentional cleanse and weight loss. count that as a blessing! so doc, whats up with me?
What do mean 2 week sleeplessness? Surly you slept a little. I’m rethinking my seasonal stuff. In review I realized that the changes simply often concided with the spells. I belive I have a lot of anxities whenever I change life styles. I do this about 1 to 3 times a year. Christ – this is so far my longest spell. Almost 2 months of crappy sleep. I have’nt found my new obession yet. BTW I too find it easer too sleep in the day. Infact now days it’s when I’m getting all my sleep.
Great info thanks. I also have sleep trouble. I have found 2 things that are helping me. I found this sleep memory foam body pillow that is shaped like your own body it is called Mumoocie, I didn’t think it would help but have been so surprised. I have also tried EFT (emotional freedom technique) they both have been great for me. Hope this helps someone!
hey joe i get sleep but it feels like i havent even slept when i wake up, like im not even sleeping at all. wat is wrong with me??? please help. im always exhausted and just want to kill myself

My doctor told be that if you have too much salt it retains water. So later on when the salt is out of your body it releases the water. I’ve had times I’ve had to get up several times within a short time. My problem is that I often resist getting up to go to the bathroom for a long time and it keeps me half awake.

does anyone feel like there oging to explode everyday if they dont sleep, I think really irational and have ocd times 10 when I dont sleep, ie if someone cuts me up in the car, I say I hope thaey crash and die, but if I was normal I would ingore it??? anyone get like this, bit mental??
i sleep werid, i iver sleep for 8 hours, or 14? and then i end up staying awake for 24 hours? :S

hi i was wondering if you could help me. i have had problems with sleeping for a month now. when i sit down on try to relax i feel asif i am moving around. i feel like im in a elevator moving up and down. this means i cannot lie in bed long enough to fall asleep because of this feeling, is this linked to anxiety if so how can i prevent or cure it. i would appreciate as much info as possible. im 15 and this realy is taking over my life
in the past three days i have only slept 4,5 hours….my vody is so tired. and my eyes are extremely tired, but for somereason i just cannot sleep…..after 8 or 9 i get so awake and cannot sleep. its 2.37 in the morning and cannot sleep. please someone help me. i dont know whats wrong. i take 4 to 5 pills to sleep a day and cannot sleep.. what the hell is wrong is me , please sopmeone help me?!!!!

do you know “Fight club”? there is a doc who says that what you need is a natural sleep
maybe you should endure your insomnia for a while, and then you will just fall asleep without any pills

im still unsure if i have insomia. ive had trouble sleeping alot lately..i feel very tired but my eyes wont go to sleep..and at nite i wake up an go restroom, and cant go bac to sleep, and i end up awake until moring i take sleeping pills at nite but ushally it takes me 2 or 3 to actually sleep. still unsure if i have asleepinq problem?
