I think I have insomnia, but so many people say they do I I’m just curious. It takes me anywhere from an hour to two or three to fall asleep, even more on bad days. I usually sleep a bit at least but…do you think that classifies as insomnia?

2/5 people sore. 3/5 people suffer from insomnia. In answer to you question, yes- it should only take 30 minuets max to fall asleep… without any visual distractions (books, tv, etc)
Insomnia involves a few things –
1. Taking a long time to fall asleep.
2. Broken and disrupted sleep patterns.
3. Too short a sleep duration – waking too early.
4. Awakening still feeling tired, unrefreshed. The feeling continuing throughout the day.
5. When tiredness is affecting your ability to focus during the day, and affecting your concentration.
If you have these symptoms do talk to your health professional.
