I’m really considering joining the air force, I recently talked to a recruiter and although I mentioned taking prescription meds for ocd (paroxetine) and insomnia (temazepam). Do you think this would disqualify me? Thanks for any help.
I did talk to my recruiter about it and he said he wasn’t sure and would find out for me. I’m just looking for other people who know already.

Well they probably wouldn’t let you into flight school
They would worry your insomnia meds would put you to sleep at the wrong moment
Never mind having an obsessive / compulsive desire to bomb something
tell the recruiter that you talk to, and they will be able to tell you if the meds you are taking will disqualify you from joining or not, that is their job, i’m pretty sure they would know.
you can join after your off the meds.
I would get off the meds and see if you can function normally. If you can then sign up
Insomnia and OCD will probably be a DQ.
