My boyfriend who is 19 is suffering from insomnia and has been for almost 2 years. He is able to go to sleep but only after hours of laying in the dark or after he takes several sleeping pills since the normal dose will not help him. we have tried everything from exercise to listening to soothing music and nothing will work. when he is able to sleep it is only for a couple of hours and this is beginning to affect his life. We really dont want him taking sleeping pills since we are aware of the dangers but they are the only thing that seems to work. please help us
