My mother’s Restless legs were so bad it put her into ER, under full sedation her legs still jump with electro feel. Doctors are shocked and have never seen legs this bad. She was under sedation for two days before the RLS disappeared. She is on all possible meds. What do we know about our neurological system in the brain? What causes this electro sensation? HELP

I live in Germany, and was in the US for 3 weeks with a 6 and 7 hour time difference while in Chicago and then Washington, DC.

I can not sleep since getting home for more than 3 hours during the night, and I have such a busy rest of the week. I do not want to take sleeping pills, but need another way to cope with the lack of sleep.

It is my 2 year old. HE has an appointment tomorrow with his pedi for it. I had known he sometimes woke from it but when I was up all night with our youngest for several nights over the weekend I saw just how OFTEN it was happening. Last night he slept really reall though.

I think I might have sleep apnea..A little while ago i jolted out of bed gasping for air. I had no idea what was going on and why i had just flung myself into the wall. My heart was pounding, my hands were shaking and it was really scary. It’s happened before, but this time was really bad. Like im too scared to go back to sleep. Does anyone have sleep apnea? I’m a 35yo man who, for the past 5-10 years, has experienced the twitching and tingling sensations commonly associated with Restless Leg Syndrome…though my symptoms haven’t presented in my legs, but in my mid-back. Like RLS, they are more pronounced when at night or when I am particularly fatigued. Similarly, the symptoms can be so severe in the middle of the night that they will awaken me from a deep sleep. In the past couple of years they’ve become worse — significantly worse. I’ve spoken with my doctor — an Internist — and she’s completely confounded by it, having ordered X-Rays and probably an MRI is on the horizon, she says. In the meantime she’s put me on ropinirole (i.e., Requip), and it seems to help at 1-2 tabs before bedtime. The thing that puzzling me is the fact that this is in my **BACK**.

Does anyone else out there have similar conditions/symptoms? Again, I’m looking for feedback from folks having RLS-like symptoms in body areas OTHER than their legs.
