Can I call 911 for my mother in another state?

Lost Heaven asked:

My mother is in New York, and I am in Virginia. I got a call from her a few days ago, saying that her toe was purple, and her whole foot was numb.

I told her to call the 911 or to call the hospital, to do SOMETHING, because her toe should not be purple. She decided to wait three days before actually doing anything about it. When she finally DID go to the hospital, supposedly they didn’t do a damn thing about it, and simply told her to go back on one of her countless medications to treat lupus, nausea, insomnia, depression and some other **** I can’t remember (almost all of which make her feel like shit).

She called me back today telling me that now both her legs are starting to turn purple. I told her to go to the hospital, a different hospital though, not Queens hosptial, because they won’t do a goddamn thing for her, but she keeps saying she’ll go later, she’ll go next time.

I’m worried that there might not BE a next time. Can I call 911 for this? What can I do to get my mom help?
Can I specify that she NOT go to Queens hospital, even though I don’t know the names to any other hospitals in the area? Hate to say it, but if you’re not black, you won’t get any help in that hospital.

I’m really fucking worried about her. She said that everybody in the apartment is hot and sweating except for her. She’s cold, and sometimes shivers.

what is the best way to cure insomnia?

qtpiexo9753 asked:

For the past couple weeks i have had trouble with sleeping..sometimes i cant fall asleep at all. I think it has to do with my different times of sleeping…since im a full time college student i stay up late at night studying and take naps during the day. On weekends i’m out till the wee hours of the morning partying…so i def dont get enough sleep and take naps during the day as well. So when i really need to sleep in order to be ready for a really big exam i cannot fall asleep. Right now its getting to the point where im thinking about going to a doctor. My parents who are both doctors told me to get professional help, i want to know if there is a way of curing it before i do go to get professional help with this.
Thanks for all your help! I actually decided to listen to my parents and get professional help because i cannot do this anymore. I have finals coming up and i need tons of rest in order to do well.

Moggel74 asked:

I’m an architecture student in college, and I usually sleep about 4 hours a night. During summertime in high school, I could sleep up to 12 hours a day. Now, even when I’m completely finished with homework, I sleep two hours, wake up energized, then later on sleep two hours, then wake up energized again…Its probably adrenaline that’s keeping me going, but how can I go back to sleeping normally? Should I seek medical treatment?

How do i treat insomnia

I have to admit, the first time I saw a commercial for restless leg syndrome, my first thought, was “what are they going to come up with next to push a medication”?  I remember making fun of the commercial later that day with my friends, and I was shut up very quickly, when one of them perked up with a funny look on her face and said “I have that”.

Embarrassed, I tried to back pedal and offer my sympathies, but truthfully, she was a bit of a hypochondriac, so I still didn’t put that much stock in it.  Well, it turns out, that Restless Leg Syndrome is quite real, so much so in fact, that it may affect as many as 12 million Americans.

So What Does RLS Have To Do With My Allergies?

Johns Hopkins Researchers found that some sleep inducing allergy medicines significantly worsen Restless Leg Syndrome and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine has discovered a possible cause. The reason they believe is “Histamine Receptors”.  Some cells contain protein which is found on its surface and are triggered by histamine.   When these cells are activated these histamine receptors will stimulate sleeplessness.

JHU conducted a test on 12 patients suffering from Restless Leg Syndrome by giving them either a true sedative, or diphenhydramine an ingredient in many allergy medications used to cause drowsiness.  The study showed that the sedatives had little to no effect on the patients with RLS, but the diphenhydramine made the RLS as much as three to four times worse.  Five out of Six Patients in the study showed elevated numbers of these histamine receptor proteins, an incredible percentage I think.

My All Natural Allergy Nasal Spray Wouldn’t Get In the Way

I found this study so interesting and it makes me wonder what other ailments are affected by un-natural ingredients in allergy and other medications.  What else interferes or worsens symptoms when you’re sick and un-well? I am a firm believer in all natural medicine.  I don’t oppose traditional medicines but I like to look for the alternatives first.

Fortunately, I don’t suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome and my apologies go out to my friend Lisa and anyone else who does.  It is real and it’s quite uncomfortable from what I’ve read.  I do however, suffer from allergies and sinusitis, and I use Sinol all natural nasal spray made with 100% all natural ingredients.

Sinol has no side effects and it’s incredibly fast and effective and never interferes with any of my other medications.   I would recommend it to anyone who suffers from Restless Leg Syndrome or to anyone who needs allergy medication and takes multiple medications and worries about drug interactions.

No matter what you suffer from, I always recommend that you do research for a natural choice when you can and always consult with your health care provider when trying new medications.

As Sinol’s Consumer Advocate, I look forward to sharing the latest news and tips on all natural ways to cure your allergy and headache problems.  Please feel free to email me at: a.pisani@sinolusa.com or learn more about Sinol Nasal Spray by visiting www.sinolusa.com
